Cruso is quieter and more tucked-away than the busier corridors closer to Asheville — about 35 to 45 minutes from downtown, but worlds away in feel. The valley follows the creek, so cabins here are genuinely on the water rather than near it. You get the white-noise lullaby of a mountain creek at night and an easy on-ramp to the Parkway’s overlooks and trailheads by day.
